Saumur is a very beautiful village on Loire river. It has a famous Castle that is said to be the pattern for the Disney Castle at Disney world. Saumur is the home of the famous military riding school of the Cadre Noir. General George S. Patton went to this school after WWI.  The castle was captured by the good King John of England in 1203.
