Vincent van Gogh, 1853-1890, not famous in his life time, he is one of the most recognized painters of the age. Emily and I have been to Provence to the town of St. Remy where Vincent admitted himself to St. Paul's Asylum. We visited the van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, that museum would not let visitors take pictures. The Musee d' Orsay will allow visitors to take pictures and these are a few of Vincent's paintings in this museum.
