The construction of Freiburg Cathedral started at the turn of the 13th century. This is a very unique cathedral. It has a Renaissance vestibule with statues that remained painted through the centuries. We were lucky, a major restoration of these statues was in progress. We could climbed the scaffold to get up close to the statues.

Hope you enjoy these pictures.
